Shivapuri Trek is one of the famous and best short hikes in Nepal which is located in the north of the mid-hills border from the Capital city of Kathmandu. Shivapuri Hiking will offer you to explore the youngest national park called Shivapuri National Park, established in 2002AD. This adventurous Shivapuri Hiking offers you to admire stunning views of Langtang Himalayas, Ganesh Himal Ranges, Jungle Himal, Manaslu, eagle-eye view of Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati River, Bagdwar, wonderful nature, and surrounding. Shivapuri Hiking is a short and easy adventure near the Capital city of Nepal where you can witness wildlife and varieties of bird’s species. Beside this, you can also enjoy Jungle Safari, where you will get an opportunity to encounter with the different animals.

Shivapuri Hiking is an outstanding choice for those trekkers who want to take a full enjoy within a limited time and penetrate into popular Shivapuri wildlife reserve, Sundarijal-Shivapuri National Park which is situated at the altitude of 2563m.This National park is well-known for biodiversity trekking route which follows the Nagarkot, Gosainkunda, Helambu and the Langtang National Park which also offers amazing views of majestic Himalaya. The National Park is full of oaks and rhododendron trees, Moss, shielding ferns and a large variety of grass with wildlife including Himalayan black Bear, Jungle cats, Leopards, Golden Jackal, Rhesus Monkeys and many more. Not only this, you will also get chances to experience the cultural diversity of rural village life and their unique culture and traditions.

Adventurous Shivapuri Hiking officially begins from Budhanilkantha, a famous place for stunning views of eastern mountains ranges, impressive sunrise, and sunset. From Budhanilkantha you will drive uphill and reach to the Shivapuri National Park gate and explore the place. And finally return back to Kathmandu.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

As you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu, where you will get chances to refresh yourself and take a rest. In the evening, our representative, leader will provide you a brief explanation of the further trek. You will stay overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today, after breakfast, we will manage you to explore Kathmandu, a cultural heart of Nepal. You will visit major world heritage site like; Pashupatinath Temple, Syambhunath (Monkey Temple), Buddhist shrine of Boudhnath, and the Royal Kathmandu Durbar square. In the evening, you will be ready for the next day trek. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 : Kathmandu To Kakani

After exploring the major world heritage site in Kathmandu, today early in the morning after having breakfast, you will drive towards Kakani which is situated at the summit of 2066m above the sea level. It takes around 1 hour to reach Kakani through passing Nagarjuna, beautiful local settlement and scenic surrounding on the way. The beautiful place Kakani also offers you magnificent views of the Himalayan skyline stretching all the way from Annapurna, Manaslu, Everest, Ganesh Himal, Gauri Shankar, Shishapangma and Dorje Lekpa. Then you will officially begin trekking from Kakani to National Park by following Gurje Bhanjyang. Overnight at Kakani.

Day 4 : Kakani to Shivapuri(2732m)

Today, early in the morning after having breakfast, you will trek toward Shivapuri which is situated at the elevation of 2732m above the sea level. Shivapuri peaks also offer you impressive views of all Kathmandu Valley and amazing mountains; Ganesh Himal range, Langtang, Jugal Himal, Manaslu, Annapurna and many more. You will also enjoy a Jungle safari in the National Park and encounter with numerous flora and fauna. Overnight at Shivapur.

Day 5 : Shivapuri To kathmandu

After exploring Shivapur National Park, today, early in the morning after having breakfast, you will return back to Kathmandu Valley with the beautiful memories of the Shivapuri Hiking. On the way to the Kathmandu, you will also visit Nagarkot and Chagunarayan which are also a famous place to visit. After you reach in Kathmandu you will do some rest and relax. In the evening, you will enjoy farewell dinner and stay overnight at hotel n Kathmandu.
