Muktinath is one of the scared place for both Buddhists and Hindu which is situated at the elevations of the 3710 meters at the foot of the Thorong La Pass in Mustang districts in Nepal.  Muktinath is one of the most ancient Hindu temples of God Vishnu. The Muktinath temple is located on the top of the mountain range and during the festival of Janai Purnima in Nepal, Hindu devotees come here to pay homage to God Muktinath. There is other popular temple namely Jwaladevi, the goddess of flame which situated almost hundred meters south of Muktinath. The main shrine of the Muktinath temple is designed in the Pagoda style which symbolizes the religious symbiosis between Buddhists and Hindu, where Buddhist regards Muktinath as Buddha temple while Hindu regards as Vishnu temple. The statue of God is made of gold which depicts metal statues of Lord Vishnu, Saraswati, Goddess Laxmi, Janaki, Garuda, Sapta Rishis and Lava-Kush. The Sanskrit word “Muktinath” derives from “Mukti” and “Nath”. Here “Mukti” means “Salvation or Nirvana” and “Nath” means “God”. According to Hindu Myth, God Vishnu was got salvation from the curse of Brinda (wife of Jalandhar), so Hindu people generally believe that all miseries are relieved once you visit the Muktinath Temple and bath in the 108 waterspouts (Muktidhara) in the backyard of this temple. The pagoda style shrine is considered to be one of the eight sacred places known as Svayam Vyakta Ksetras (the other seven being Srirangam, Sri Mushnam, Tripati, Naimisaranyam, Thottadri, Pushkaram, and Badrinath) as well as one of the 108 Divya Desam or holy places of worship of God Vishnu. The major attractions of this places are; Mukti Dhara. Kunda, Gomba, Jwalamai Temple, Sri Murthy Mahatma, Swaminarayan, Saligrama,  Gomba Samba and so on. Apart from this shrine also offers you to enjoy stunning views of high Himalayan Annapurna range, Muktinath and Mustang Himal to the west.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

As you arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative and drop you to the one of the best hotel where you can take a rest and relax. In the evening, Nepal Planet trek leader will provide you short orientations program and gives brief explanations about the Muktinath trip. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing

Next morning, after having breakfast, we will manage you to visit some historical and religious sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley. Today we will begins our sightseeing tour within the Capital City Kathmandu, observing the UNESCO World Heritage site such as; Pashupatinath Temple, a most sacred site for Hindu which is situated on the bank of Bagmati River and known as the principal temple of God Shiva. Swoyambhunath Temple is also known as monkey temple. Hanuman Dhoka Square and Buddhanath Stupa and so on. Overnight in the Kathmandu.

Day 3 : Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

Today, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will head towards the beautiful city Pokhara by special tourist Bus. It takes around 6 to 7 hours’ drive from Kathmandu and this long drive let you to witness beautiful landscape of local village and Trisuli River on the way which makes your trip wonderful. In the evening you will explore the paradise city Pokhara by viewing the breathtaking mountain and sunset view along with famous Fewa Lake and Barahi temple which is situated almost in the middle of the Lake. Day 4 : Drive from Pokhara to Jomsom

In this day, after early breakfast, you will drive to Jomsom which is situated at the elevation of 2713m/8952ft. you will drive through the Kaligandaki River. Jomsom is one of the beautiful place from where you will get chances to view Dhaulagiri Mountain and other snow-caped mountain. Overnight at Jomsom.

Day 5 : Drive from Jomsom to Muktinath

Today we will drive towards Muktinath after having early breakfast. Muktinath, the famous pilgrimage site for Buddhist and Hindu, is not so far from the Jomsom. The famous Muktinath temple lies in the district of Mustang and situated 48km north east of Jomsom at an altitude of about 3749m. After reaching at Muktinath temple you will explore the pilgrimage site and important 108 Muktidhara, where you can bath and enjoy. Overnight at Muktinath.​

Day 6 : Drive Kagbeni-Muktinath

The next morning, after having breakfast, we’ll drive towards Muktinath, a God Shiva temple, which is situated at the elevations of 3800m/12540ft. During your trial, you will see astonishing close mountains views which look quite impressive along with great glaciers. There is also one famous Tilicho glacier which is covered by snow. Then you will make the moderate walk down towards Muktinath along with a stunning view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. When you will reach near to the Muktinath, there you will see numerous sporadic houses. Muktinath is one of the famous pilgrimage sites for Buddhist and Hindu. It is a sacred place of salvation for Hindu. All the Hindu people believe that bathing in the waters here guarantees salvation after death. We’ll stay overnight in the Muktinath.

Day 7 : Drive Muktinath -Jomsom-

It is the final day of your trek, early in the morning, you will enjoy the yellow-orange glow of Dhaulagiri. Not only that you will also make a side trip to the Bon Punt soiling monastery in Lubra which is one of the very old and famous monasteries in Nepal. Then finally, we’ll trek towards Jomsom through the Kali Gandaki River. After the end of Mustang trails, we’ll then join the Annapurna Circuit. Our journey will continue towards Jomsom after a lunch break. We’ll stay overnight in Jomsom.

Day 8 : Drive from Beni to Pokhara

Next morning, after having early breakfast, you will drive back to Pokhara from Beni. It takes around 4 hours’ drive from Beni to Pokhara. After some rest you will discover the heavenly city Pokhara for the last time. In the evening, you can do shopping in the lively market of Pokhara. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 9 : Flight from Pokhara-Kathmandu

Today is your final day of trip where you will take an air-flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Around 30 minute’s flight offers you panoramic mountain views and take you to the Kathmandu Valley. In the evening you will enjoy celebrations of farewell dinner which represent the Nepali culture in Nepal. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10 : Final Departure

 When you will arrive in the Kathmandu valley, Nepal Guide info (Nepal Planet treks) group will provide you all the services and prepare for the final departure. A representative will help you to reach the final destination.
